Solheim Lutheran Home

Solheim Lutheran Home
Solheim – which means “sun home” in Norwegian – is definitely bright in its outlook, providing a vital life for seniors. With excellent Skilled Nursing and Memory Care, Solheim is ready to serve the more frail adult as he or she ages, but we are poised to enhance the life of all senior residents. Solheim boasts 6 activity directors specializing in organizing lectures, classes, concerts, crafts and outings for all four levels of care. Solheim has a full time interim chaplain, Pastor Kathleen Richter, who extends a warm inclusive welcome to people of all faiths, or none. We have Tuesday and Thursday evening Vespers and Sunday morning services in our beautiful chapel. Sometimes you may find our Executive Director, Jim Graunke, playing french horn at one of our services. Living at Solheim one can burn both ends of the candle if desired. Some of our residents are up before dawn enjoying the beautiful gardens, while later risers may occasionally enjoy their breakfast brought to their room. Book club, genealogy, cooking, and travel presentations are a few of the other activities to choose from. Whether you are driving your own car or living a simpler existence, Solheim strives to offer an abundant and vital experience of life for all residents.
