Maravilla Foundation

Maravilla Foundation

Maravilla Foundation was founded in 1967 to address the growing, unattended needs of the low income people of East Los Angeles. In our 42 years of service, we have not wavered from this goal. Whether through our housing or energy assistance programs, Maravilla has become extremely effective in delivering a range of services to a broad spectrum of people.

East Los Angeles and its people remain the primary target area of our work. But as populations have grown and changed with time, so has our agency, and we now service areas throughout Los Angeles County and beyond, giving Maravilla Foundation the deserved reputation as one of the most effective nonprofit community based organizations in California.

Proud of our past achievements, but aware of the work left undone, we face the future with the resolve to rededicate ourselves to our goals of building stronger communities and improving the quality of life for thousands of working families.

In Spanish, Maravilla means “that which works wonders”. For all of us who work here, those aren’t just words. That is a promise which we work every day to live up to, and one which we intend to keep.
